Role Purpose

To lead day-to-day supply chain planning and execution for Alternate Channels (Modern Trade, E-commerce, and CSD), ensuring strong service levels, optimal inventory, and disciplined process adherence. The role involves hands-on execution, coordination with supply & distribution planners, and acting as the supply chain lead for Sales in the respective channels.

Key Responsibilities

1. Demand & Supply Execution

• Support forecast finalization and supply planning in S&OP cycles
• Collaborate with MT / E-commerce teams to capture promotions, seasonal demand, and new launches
• Convert demand into deployment and replenishment plans aligned with plant and DC capacities

2. Order Fulfilment & Service Levels

• Oversee order processing for Modern Trade, E-commerce, and CSD channels
• Monitor order-to-invoice processes
• Track OTIF, fill rates, and order cycle time
• Resolve short supplies, order holds, and delivery failures

3. Inventory Management (Channel-wise)

• Monitor inventory at customer, DC, and CFA levels
• Ensure replenishment without overstocking or ageing
• Drive reduction in slow-moving, expiry-prone SKUs, and returns

4. CSD Operations Support

• Support planning and servicing of CSD depots
• Track depot-wise lifting and manage variances

5. Team Coordination

• Manage and guide Supply Chain Executives / Planners
• Allocate tasks and ensure adherence to processes
• Act as the first escalation point for operational issues

6. Cross-Functional Coordination

• Work closely with Sales, Planning, Warehousing, and Logistics teams
• Participate in planning and review meetings
• Provide inputs for S&OP forums

7. Reporting & MIS

• Maintain MIS on service levels, inventory ageing, and customer performance
• Track penalties, claims, and deductions
• Support root cause analysis for service gaps
