Director – Product Development -Silicon Design & Verification
Job Description
This role is ideal for seasoned semiconductor leaders with extensive experience in silicon design and verification, particularly in high-speed connectivity technologies such as PCIe, CXL, SAS, Retimers, Switches, and Flash Controllers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage design and verification teams responsible for PCIe Switches, Retimers, CXL Controllers, Flash Controllers, and SAS Controllers.
- Define architecture and design strategies for next-generation connectivity products.
- Drive end-to-end silicon development including architecture, RTL design, verification, synthesis, timing closure, and tape-out.
- Collaborate with global cross-functional teams to achieve aggressive time-to-market goals.
- Mentor and grow engineering teams while fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
- Manage project schedules, resources, and deliverables to ensure successful product execution.
- Engage with customers and partners to understand requirements and drive successful product delivery.
- Stay current with industry standards and emerging technologies in high-performance connectivity solutions.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 20+ years of experience in silicon design and verification.
- Proven experience leading large design and verification teams.
- Deep expertise in PCIe, CXL, SAS protocols, and high-speed connectivity architectures.
- Strong hands-on experience in RTL Design (Verilog/VHDL), SystemVerilog/UVM, Synthesis, STA, and Tape-out processes.
- Experience working in global organizations and managing cross-geography teams.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with PCIe Switch and Retimer architectures.
- Knowledge of security, power management, and reliability features in connectivity silicon.
- Customer-facing technical leadership experience.
- Prior experience working with multinational organizations and exposure to North American teams/customers.
