Sales Manager

Job Description

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Sales Strategy & Target Achievement: Drive the sales strategy to meet the yearly sales target and profitability goals, ensuring consistent order booking and business growth.
  • Payment Collection: Responsible for ensuring timely payment collections as per KPIs and agreements.
  • Order Forecasting: Provide accurate order forecasts (75% accuracy) to the Sales Head for inventory management.
  • Customer Relationship Building: Build strong, trust-based relationships with customers, HVAC consultants, and architects to promote  products.
  • Market Outreach: Conduct cold calls and reach out to customers, PMCs, and Data Center Integrators to generate market inquiries.
  • Product Specifications & Tendering: Spearhead the SPEC IN process for Chiller/Data Center products in tenders with the appropriate PFB.
  • Customer Needs Analysis: Assess customer needs and offer suitable alternative solutions using products and services.
  • Proposal Follow-up: Follow up with customers and contractors regarding submitted proposals and maintain ongoing communication.
  • Techno-Commercial Meetings: Participate in techno-commercial meetings with customers to discuss proposals and solutions.
  • Customer Site & Factory Visits: Arrange customer visits to existing sites and the factory to build confidence in  solutions.
  • Project Status Updates: Monitor and update the status of ongoing projects to ensure timely dispatch of finished products.
  • Collaboration with Project & Service Teams: Coordinate with project and service teams on site-related activities and challenges.
  • Market Analysis: Gather and analyze market information, competitive strategies, and innovation trends that could impact business.
  • Management Support: Work on tasks assigned by management in the task bonus sheet, ensuring timely execution.
  • Technical Submittals: Prepare technical submittals for customers and consultants, and ensure approval processes are in place.
  • Team Guidance & Support: Lead, motivate, and support the team in achieving individual and collective goals.
  • Competitor Analysis: Stay informed on competitors' activities and market conditions, adjusting strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
  • MIS Reporting: Ensure timely submission of MIS reports, analyze performance, and create action plans for improvement.
  • Training & Development: Conduct training sessions for team members to enhance both hard and soft skills.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and MBA in Marketing.
  • Experience: Proven experience in Sales, Marketing, and Application Engineering roles, preferably in the HVAC or Data Center industry.
  • Skills:
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Proven track record in sales and forecasting.
