Sales Manager
Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Business Development: Generate inquiries and business from industrial, commercial, PWD, CPWD, and other government institutes, ensuring the achievement of sales targets for business growth in the region.
- Client Visits: Conduct frequent visits to industry influencers (consultants, PMCs, PWD, CPWD, and government bodies) to build relationships and expand the customer base.
- Pre-order Site Visits: Perform site visits to understand application requirements, gather competitor information, and assist with value engineering or BOQ formation to propose the best solutions.
- Product Selection: Review BOQs and specifications to select the most suitable product options for customers.
- Technical Presentations: Deliver technical presentations to clients, aligning solutions with their specific requirements.
- Customer Meetings: Conduct 30-40 meetings per month, ensuring extensive coverage of the assigned geographic area and fostering strong client relationships.
- Negotiations & Closing Sales: Lead technical and commercial negotiations with customers, highlighting the value of CVI products and services, and close sales effectively.
- Channel Partner Development: Identify and develop new channel partners, especially in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, to expand the business reach.
- MIS Reporting: Prepare and share monthly MIS reports with the top management, detailing bookings, billing, and performance metrics by the 20th of each month.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with HVAC consultants, architects, PMCs, and customers to ensure long-term success and repeat business.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Experience: 8 to 12 years of relevant experience in business development, with a focus on HVAC or chiller sales.
- Communication: Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Motivation: Self-motivated with a dynamic approach to engaging stakeholders proactively.
- Relationship Management: Strong interpersonal and customer relationship management skills.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Industry Experience: Prior experience in B2B chiller sales.
- Customer Orientation: Well-presented and customer-focused with a professional demeanor.
- Channel Management: Experience in handling channel partners and dealers.
- Creative Sales Strategies: Ability to develop creative, groundbreaking approaches to sales and customer relationship building.
- Travel: Willingness to travel 60% to 70% of the time
