Manager Costing and estimation

Job Description

• Cost estimation for Sales Inquiry process, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
• Collaborating with Sales, Engineering and SCM teams to change existing & historic costs and ensure cost optimization. 
• Good ability to read engineering drawings, analyze & identify opportunities for cost savings.
• Aware of Mechanical and Electrical components, basic awareness about markets/ products.
• Generate analytics and reports using tools like Advanced Excel and Power BI.
• Manage system approvals for part codes, prices, and purchase orders to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Implement inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels and minimize excess inventory.
• Support budget management for procurement by planning and allocating considered budget effectively.
• Ensure compliance with financial controls and organizational procedures in all procurement activities
Required Skill Sets :- 

8-12 years of relevant experience in costing and estimation, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Proficiency in conducting cost analysis, preparing precise estimations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams such as Sales and Engineering.
• Experience in developing streamlined processes to improve efficiency and accuracy in costing and estimation practices.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to track, analyze, and report on cost data effectively.
• Familiarity with tools and software used for cost estimation, such as Advanced Excel and possibly ERP systems.

Qualification :- 

BE/B.Tech Mechanical Engineering/ Education – BE & CMA  or BE+ICWA inter
Diploma in Engg with a Degree in Costing
