Asst. Manager / Dy. Manager – Quality

Job Description

Responsible for managing external quality functions by ensuring product and process compliance to customer and supplier quality standards. 

The role focuses on handling customer complaints, driving supplier quality improvements, conducting audits, and ensuring adherence to ISO/API/QMS standards

Acts as a key interface between the company, customers, and vendors to uphold and enhance quality performance across the value chain. 

 Supplier Quality: 

• Plan and conduct supplier audits; evaluate and develop new suppliers as per QMS and technical requirements. 

• Review and approve supplier QAPs, ITPs, MTCs, and other documentation. 

• Ensure quality of incoming materials, castings, and sub-components through inspections and certification validation. 

• Work closely with the purchase and design teams to align supplier quality with product and process needs. 

• Drive supplier quality improvements and reduce non-conformances through engagement and training. 

 Customer Quality: 

• Interface with key customers and Third-Party Inspectors (TPIs) for quality-related interactions, inspections, and audits. 

• Handle customer complaints, conduct root cause analysis (RCA), implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and track effectiveness. 

• Participate in project coordination meetings for technical quality requirements. 

 QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE 

• BE in Mechanical Engineering with 8-10 years 

OR 

  • Diploma with 12-15 years year of experience. 
  • • Certified Internal Auditor – ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, API Q1 
  • • NDT Level II in RT, UT, VT, LPT, MPI preferred 
  • • Strong knowledge of international standards: API 6D, API Q1, ASME, NACE, ISO 15848-1 & 2, ISO 3834-2. 
  • Proficient in valve testing techniques: Cv, calibration, hysteresis, static/dynamic response, fugitive emission, and helium leak
  • • Experience with NDT methods (RT, UT, VT, LPT, MPI) and WPS/PQR preparation. 
  • • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills. 
  • • Ability to work cross-functionally with Engineering, SCM, and Projects teams.
